daring time

Last night, I was spending time with a friend. She and I had some greek food.  Afterwards, she suggested we get manicures.  Well, I've never had a manicure and only been slightly intrigued with getting one out of curiousity. We went by one place and they were full, and they recommended another place across the way. We went in and they were super nice. They could tell immediately that neither of us had gotten one before haha! We didn't know the ques and they had to instruct us all the way through the manicure.  I used to think it was for like high maintenance type women and now I found out it really is just getting pampered. This other lady came in a few minuets after us so I stuck to attempting to follow her lead. You could tell she had done this many times. I'm not one for painting my nails, but my nails look better so... I was originally just going to get a basic manicure, but I heard that same lady I was sort of following on her example of asking for gel nail polish. I was like you know, that is a better idea. If I am going to do this I might as well pay more to get a decent manicure and nail polish that will last a couple weeks instead of couple of days.

Splash of color

So, I decided to be productive today and help with laundry. I decided to do towels and bath mats and threw in a pair of shoes that needed washing. Well, everything got washed and I open it up and pull things out. Surprise for me! I had colored my parents towels to a bluish pink. My towel has pink and red. My bath mats are bright pink.  So, apparently, not all the dye was washed off my towel I put in ha ha! It has been washed a few times, but maybe it's cause I did a sanitizing selection for the wash. do do do....

prolonged extermination

Today, was interesting. I am a volunteer at the library once a week. I had to help pull books from the shelves that will be judged by the librarians on whether or not to keep them. They are books that haven't been checked out for a long period of time. If they decide to dispose of them  they are given to a donation program that sells them online or on a shelf.
Today, I found most of them on the shelf. I found one that was the last on the list that actually appealed to me. I asked the girl that had been showing me how to pull books and mark correctly. She said, eh we will just mark it NOS ( Not on Shelf), but you have to check it out today. I did. I thought it kind of funny to cheat the system.  I suggested, that they put the books that haven't been acknowledged for a long time out front and advertise them first. But, that idea was rejected.
